During your stay at Ty Coed, our Miniature Schnauzer, Maisie invites you to sample her treats and recommends that you stroll through one of her many favourite local walks. The area known as The Melinau Meigan Mill Race is less than 15 minutes walk from the front door of Ty Coed. This wooded area is located via turning left out of Ty Coed’s gate, up to the first side road on the left. From there walk past the school on the right hand side and approach the entrance to the wooded area straight ahead.
In the past the Afon Meigan was the power behind two mills located along the Nant Meigan. The area is now a tranquil area for walking and watching wildlife. Upon entrance to the woodland if you turn left and follow the path down hill, after a very short while you will walk under a bridge onto Mill Lane to face the beautiful Beaumaris shoreline. There are several notice boards in the area providing further information for those interested.
